The PISA accompanying study examines the importance of English teachers' didactic knowledge for learning success. Test instruments from Prof. Petra Kirchhoff (University of Augsburg) and Prof. Dr. Stefan Krauss (University of Regensburg) are used. The project is managed by the PISA National Center at the Technical University of Munich (TUM).

The “proof - process organization and feedback in performance assessment” school trial by the Bavarian Education Pact Foundation aims to provide pupils with even more individual support in future - with the help of AI-supported analyses. Teachers will also benefit from this. Prof. Dr. Petra Kirchhoff from the University of Augsburg is a member of the scientific advisory board of the school trial.

Dr. Andreas Kullick was recently interviewed by Deutschlandfunk at this year's Didacta for the education magazine “Campus & Karriere”. The interview was about heterogeneity and strategies for teaching children of different abilities together in elementary school English lessons. The interview was broadcast on February 13, 2025 and can be listened to here at any time.

In his doctoral thesis, our academic advisor Dr. Andreas Kullick investigated how technology-supported learning tasks can promote oral communication in heterogeneous English classes at elementary school. In the current issue (24) of “Science and Research in Augsburg” from the University of Augsburg, you can gain a brief insight on page 7.
